Arista Networks CAB-D-8S-400G-2.5M compatible DAC is a passive 8x 50Gbps QSFP-DD to 8 SFP56 direct attach breakout cable for use in 100GBASE Ethernet. QSFP-DD breakout DAC provides 8x 50Gb/s throughput for 2.5m interconnection with high speed twin-axial copper cable. Standard length options cover from 1 meter to 2.5 meters. The breakout DAC cable splits 8x 50 Gbps PAM4 signals from QSFP-DD into SFP56. It also supports 8x 25 Gbps NRZ fanout application. This DAC is fully compliant with QSFP-DD Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), IEEE 802.3cd 50GBASE-CR and 50GAUI-1 standard. The twin-axial copper cable's wire gauge is 28AWG and pre-terminated with MSA compliant 76-pin edge type connectors. MSA memory map are accessible via 2-wire Interface (TWI/I2C). Our breakout DACs are factory pre-programmed for compatibility, perform identically to original Arista Networks CAB-D-8S-400G-2.5M direct attach cables.
