IBM 45W1216 Compatible 8G Fibre Channel SFP+ 1310nm 10km SMF LC DOM Optical Transceiver Module
IBM 45W1216 compatible optical transceiver is a dual fiber 8.5Gbps Small Form-factor Pluggable SFP+ module for use in 8G Fibre Channel Network. SFP+ 8G-LW provides 8Gb/s throughput up to 10km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using 1310nm wavelength. This transceiver is fully compliant with SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and FCIA FC-PI-4 800-SM-LC-L standard. Its electrical interface is MSA compliant 20-pin edge type connector and the optical interface is Duplex LC connector. The full-duplex SFP+ transceiver features highly reliable DFB transmitter and PIN photo detector to offer high performance interconnection at 8 Gbps data rate. Built-in Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) support is present for real-time performance monitoring via 2-wire Interface (TWI/I2C). Our modules are factory pre-programmed for compatibility, perform identically to original IBM 45W1216 transceivers.
